Steady Idle Thanks for the assessment. I agree that there needs to be a change. This is the reason I posted the song, I knew it wasn't quite there yet but I didn't know what was lacking. Thanks again! Check out my latest song called Smoove

Cool! I like the guitar sound and how the drum track and rhythm track play off each other. Good job! I'm checking out your other tunes as well and dig your diversity. Thanks. I used to have a Nova SS when I lived in Hawaii and it was infested with these huge cockroaches. One day, one ran up my pant leg and I nearly wrapped the Nova around a telephone pole. I know that has nothing to do w/your tune, but I'd be remiss... Check out my latest song called loser

Cool! Thanks for the complement! I like to mix it up and try out different things sometimes it works other times...not so. Funny story too. I think I would be a little freaked out too. Check out my latest song called Smoove

Cool I agree with some of the earlier comments. You've got some really nice elements here though. I never had a Nova SS, but I think they are cool, underappreciated cars. Song kinda has a ZZ Top, 70's feel (which works well with car songs). I don't know what key this is in, but hypothetically, if it were in C, you could drop down to G and hang on it for a driving, thumping chorus. Something about 8 miles to the gallon and a hundred more to go... (just kidding). Thnaks for your comments on my stuff, BTW. Check out my latest song called Siobhan

I like the guitar riff. The consistency of the riff during the verse made expect a major change-up in the chorus, which I think is missing. The vocals of the verse have a real strong character, almost like something you'ld hear from The Doors. The vocals are little quiet (I'm often guilty of the same thing).
A really strong chorus would make this whole piece stand up... something where the guitar changes over to chords and the drums really pound. In general I dig the feel of it. Makes me think of late nights, streetlights, and wet pavement.
