Description

“ Newborn “ is a new original . . . New Age Style . . . Old Age Style . . . Christmas
. . . It was originally performed and recorded solo using only
Yamaha acoustic grand piano ~ in Hopkins, Minnesota ~ with no M.I.D.I. or digital editing other than a few reverberation and stereo echo effects.
~ Up until yesterday and today ~
~ Supplementing with Used-Demo-Trade-In-Music-Go-Round-Alvarez Six~String Dreadnaught-Acoustic-Guitar AD-70S, oboe, piccolo, and a few string lines.
~ Tuning method for this song from bottom to top = B, E, B, E, B, E . . .
~ stretching a fourth beyond conventional tuning . . . also easier on the fingertips ~
I suppose this tuning is most suiting, considering the nature of the attempted accompaniment.

Song length ~ six minutes thirty seconds , , , last week it was so cold I almost used
one of those crappy old Ibanez’ for firewood.

LOL - saw your PM! well, i STILL love this! very cool tuning on the guitar. i really love (as i told you before), your use of these few orchestral instruments - and with addition of piano, this is just EXQUISITE! gorgeous, and thank you for the download!

Lovely piece. Love the space and improvisitory feel. Love the echoey, tweety pad on right channel. Could be made better with editing, but really enjoyed as is.

subtly ah pro pre eight...
this is a very appropriate piece for the first of December...while observing the sublty of the first falling snowflakes of the season...as the precursor to Christmas.... quite lovely, especially the ornamentation of the acoustics...a ten shun, perhaps must be given to this fine arrangement. ~barbara

Seasonal feel
Hi Geraldo. This is a very nice piece that has a lightness of touch and a strong seasonal feel. Sounds great. I really like your work. Perhaps it could be edited down a tiny bit though. Regards, Peter.

I agree - now re-checking - seeing how things could be improved -
hearing more lows near the coda - lowing certain string parts a few decibels - some slight guitar intonation tuning
problems - a certain less muddy string accompanyment - it is a cheap ax - rather so - I will use a different one - etc. ~
on the next cleavor endeavor - thanks!

Hi Geraldo
This is a lovely theme with nice orchestration and additional guitar. I was surprised to see someone else using BEBEBE! I use it too but up a half step to CFCFCF. Its great for fingerstyle and it's very exciting taking the E and B strings up to C and F!

well thanks ! this type of tuning is especially good when it comes to high harmonics - is it not !? - the intonation is not set perfect on this / my guitar however - - - -

thanks - in this one I added this guitar to a piece which I did back in '93 from my "remember When" C.D. . . . (Spting Impromptu) had trouble keeping the intonation consistent as I went up the neck.
