Description
I messing with a tune I recorded earlier which is "Jungle Caravan". I was doodling with the slide playing "Jungle Caravan" in the backround. I felt it clicked so though why not upload it.

Not really sure what category it goes into but thought I would put it in folk. Maybe somebody has a better idea?

YES!
That's what I'm talking about! :) Good use of your two channels. Your rhythm guitar finger picking sets the stage (the drama) for your solo slide work. You got me swatting the dust out of my coat with my hat. I think you created a unique sound for yourself...another form of expressing your music while remaining true to your acoustic guitar playing... a sound worth exploring. Way to go, pardner. Folk is good. Country, too.

Really nice
I don't have anything really to add. I just like it a lot. How
do you get such a clean slide sound? Are the strings set
high to keep it off the frets?

Oh, and that's some nice tile work in the picture.

To: pgreenstone

There really isn't anything special in what I am doing.
Just using a brass slide. No real secrets. If something comes to mind I'll send
you and email.

Thanks

Those two channels
Must be fun to be able to slide like that and pick like that.
My only suggestion is to move the two guitars closer
together. They seem almost completely separated, like
they're not in the same place...

How do you keep cranking these out?

Those two channels
To:Tom

I actually tried to take great care in not taking the fingerpicking to far left or
right. Actually I tried to get the fingerpicking just a tad to the left in pan then
with the lead, much more to show there is a difference.

I don't want to get everything dead center or there will be no stereo effect.

It's a challenge, GB is a good learning experience for me.

I just love playing and composing I guess.

Thanks

Live and A-live
The way you panned the two channels makes it sound like
I'm sitting in the middle of TWO excellent guitar players!

Very good performance and production values.

Thanks for the compliment. Maybe that's a hint to get the guitars closer
together. If it is, I'll try to be more aware anyways.

Thanks

thoughts from the bull...
this is it, for me. i adore the slide guitar, and this tune just
rips the tool to shreds. awesome!!! and anyone who can
use harmonics successfully is a pro in my book! this is a
fabulous piece!

it's a visual piece - cinematic. it made me feel like i was
about to embark on a spiritual journey, possibly through
some twisting landscape where the threat of real dangers
could exist... better pack my Swiss Army knife, just in
case.

you are on of those folks whom i can tune into and always
walk away learning something new or look at my guitar in
a new way... thank you for that!

When you go on tour,,,,,
When you go on tour I want front row center! This has such a simple and refined mix, but captures the mystery of the moment. I imagine myself in the caravan. The last bit is great.

Also the picture - if you did that as well, you are a serious craftsman! May God continue to bless you endeavors!

How many tracks do you have on here? How long does it typically take to record one song for you?
