I was wondering
where you'd been Bill. Nice to hear something new (and definitely something different) from you. Great playing of course (that goes without saying), and the vocals have a church hall sound which works really well here. Elaine has a lovely voice.
I'd suggest that this would sound even better if you had your lead vocal more centred - the LH panning seems unnatural in some way. Love some of those bass notes on your vox Bill.
Congratulations to you both - great post.
Best wishes for Christmas and 2011!

Oh this is good Bill
Excellent slide and fingerpicking, and the additions by Elaine are wonderful. It's also great to hear you singing for a change my friend. You have a wonderful voice, Bill.

Your voices meld together very well.

Kudos to you both.

Nice work on the guitar, and good vocals, too, particularly the backing, i thought.

The only slight worry amongst all the great picking for me was wondering where the sadness of the subject came through? It sounds pretty upbeat and jaunty really to my ear. i found myself enjoying the song, but not really sharing in the sentiment that the lyrics are built around.

i'm probably just jealous because i won't be able to pick a guitar like that as long as my posterior points down!

Enjoyed it.

Your voice and phrasing...
...on this one reminds me of Leo Kottke, especially on those low notes that Neil mentions....

I really enjoy the acoustic lead lines...

I'll go along with Neil and recommend getting your voice centered...You could build a nice mix around the vocal... I'm also getting just a whisper of distortion around the voice in the left channel...

Ah....
That classic tiler guitar. And your fine singing... with Ruby joining in. Bill this is a nice... very nice song. I love the echo harmony singing. You rule on that guitar my friend. Good to hear your music again. One of my highlights will always be collabing with you here at MJ.
