Another cool song &mdash 01/23/05 - 09:02:48 PM
Really like the sounds on this song. Guitars and vocals fit
perfectly with the song. Really like the honking sound (for
lack of knowing what it is) but it seems to dominate the
mix. Liked very much!

On second thought the sound is only dominant at the same time you are singing. I would try tweaking the levels there. Otherwise it remains a very cool song.

Nicely &mdash 01/28/05 - 08:10:36 AM
Lovely.

Go on... what's the honking sound? It really makes the
record.

Defies conventionality... &mdash 01/30/05 - 11:24:10 AM
...and does it well. I was put off at first, but
immediately warmed up to it. Someone
recommended it on the chat board, and I'm glad.
In the spirit of Octopusses's Garden meets Come on
Eileen, but honestly original in and of own right.
For the sake of critical feedback, but not cause it's
not good already:
A little bright on the eq mix for my taste, a little
darker tone and more body to blend in with the
drums on the acoustics, and cymbal splash
would make it slinky as hell. Thanks for the great
tune. Excellent song writing. Maybe think about
experimenting with a more accordian sounding tone
on the sound people are calling the 'honky sound' if
wanted to make it pop-ier.
Catchy hook too, I'll be hummin it.

like Arlo Guthrie at his best &mdash 02/28/05 - 10:27:41 AM
I love the Arlo Gurthie sense you get to songs: the
traveling mind, the humor, the folk movement drive
forward, the singability of it all. Another solid song.

sorry for my lame comment... just listened to this one again and feel like I should say more - moving, truthful, feel like I can really relate to your music. Your songs have a great understanding and wise quality..

the reverse solo &mdash 11/04/05 - 02:49:42 AM
The reverse solo is totally cool. I love the effect of the acoustic guitar.
How did you pan the strums to go left and right. is it one acoustic?
