I think it is sweet. I see this as if the piano player came in early and since the rest of the band weren't there yet, he played a tune that came to him while walking and whistling on his way into the club. Very bright. Avant Garde This does ooze the jazz vibe, but I think you are right overall--the particular beat here makes it something entirely different. I'd almost say there is an avant-garde bossa nova thang going on here. There is a twinge of the blues too, I think.
