Description
Kassia recently posted a lovely piece of music called Dancing Monks that was performed on the Hang Drum. ParticleDots downloaded the mp3 and did a remixed version with additional percussion and bass. This ended up in my hands and I added some synth, mellotron, a "vocal," and snippets from a phonautogram recording of a vocal scale that was recorded in 1860. These were recorded by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville and are the earliest recordings of the human voice, and now they are a EXS instrument in my collection; old becomes new.
After I played with the track, I sent it to Kassia and she was kind enough to give her blessing. Thanks Kassia and Bryn.
