Description:
I wrote this song sat by the pool in Florida on holiday on a perfect evening.

Lyrics:
I want to show you, a sky you've never seen.
Take you walking through a sunset, that's been lost in a dream.
I still remember, all those things you said.
It's more than just the pretty photographs I sent.

You won't believe it 'till you see it for yourself.
But I can tell you, it's really something else.
The world is waiting, do you want to go?
So pack your life in a bag, and we can see what it's like to see this sun,
from another perspective, before we're gone.

I want to feel you, reaching out to me.
Hear you talking in the darkness of the places you've seen.
To feel the summer, heat upon your face.
And know for just a moment we're alone in this place.

You won't believe it 'till you see it for yourself.
But I can tell you, it's really something else.
The world is waiting, do you want to go?
So pack your life in a bag, and we can see what it's like to see this sun,
from another perspective, before we're gone.

We can sit outside and see the stars as they paint pictures in the sea.
A private gallery of light, open here for just one night.

You won't believe it 'till you see it for yourself.
But I can tell you, it's really something else.
The world is waiting, do you want to go?
So pack your life in a bag, and we can see what it's like to see this sun,
from another perspective, before we're gone.
The world is waiting, do you want to go?
So pack your life in a bag, and we can see what it's like to see this sun,
from another perspective, before we're gone.

We'll soon be gone...

From another perspective.

Good Sound! &mdash 01/20/05 - 08:28:45 AM
I like the song a lot. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to bring the distorted guitar volume up in the chorus. When I heard that in the back ground it made me wish it was brought up front at the point you sing "It's really something else" and the fade into the background when the Harmonica comes in.

Great vocal harmony and great sound.

Nice chords &mdash 01/20/05 - 04:16:49 PM
Your clarity and sound quality is great... do you have new
equipment? Nice tune. Really like the rhythm guitar with
the integrated lead and harmonica peppering throughout.
And your vocal layering, which is very good. There is
something heavy about the performance, tho, even tho
the lyrics are light; yet I really like the minor chords and
suspensions. The song could use a bass, to complete it.
But I like this a lot. Great to hear you again!

song! I agree with Kevensor about the chorus, let it rock.
Florida is difinitly an insiring place, I wrote some of my best poetry this summer in the sands of a florida beach.

Jealous &mdash 01/21/05 - 04:20:32 AM
It's 5:30 am here in Maine. The thermometer reads two
degrees below F that's up from the 15 below on
Wednesday....it's not difficult to imagine seeing the sun
from a different perspective.

I really like the wordplay in the song and like the fact that
it is a bit dark sounding (as Tobin described). Throwing in
the haunting strains of the harmonica makes it that much
better...from my perspective, that is. Nice song, I will
definitely check out your other wok!

Been waiting for this... &mdash 01/21/05 - 08:19:45 PM
I've been looking forward to the next Wifty release.

Very nice singing and harmonies as usual. You know I like
that sort of backing.

Be great to have a jam with you.

in your eyes and voice &mdash 01/25/05 - 10:33:49 AM
What she wants is to see a new her in the reflection of your eyes. Not new skies, worlds. I really like the harmonica and electric guitar, the opening cello (or whatever) which I wanted to come back in more. I feel like this could be on the radio. One of my favorites of yours. Really good sound.
