Description

Just a very simple acoustic song. Wrote this probably sometime in the late 90s. This version was something put together on the spot last week! Played this song for years in the acoustic 2 piece. Just a mellow little ditty!!

I have problems with my interface for vocal so have to put it through a pedal (wierd I know) and even with the level turned right down I seem to be getting a little delay. B side
of the first single I ever bought!! Rubber Bullets by 10cc, Waterfall was the B side. Nice song, the clarity of the overdubed guitar sounds much greater than than the first guitar and vocal, might want to tweak the treble a bit on the first guitar to help balance them both a little better.Cheers mark Oh and ps although it's really hard to resist, hold back your songs in the first few months and give people a chance to come to them before you post another if you want to pick up plenty of comments.

Welcome to MJ Neil!
I like this song - sounds like an acoustic song that the Gallagher brothers might have made (when they were talking). As a first(ish) post, it sounds good - there are things that you will pick up as you move along at MJ. On this one, I'd suggest a little more panning of the guitars so you set up more of a "sound stage" - they both seem very close to the middle. Panning gives a song depth as well as width, and can really improve the listening experience.
I'll try to get to your other songs.
Nice post - you're going to fit in here just fine!

hi neil and welcome to macjams. this is a really atmospheric tune that could really sail if you had someone to bring it out for you on the technical side. the chorus lyric is excellent (once i had convinced myself it had nothing to do with that gallagher wanker),
and your vocal delivery is easy and intimate. the second guitar licks complement the whole perfectly.

I swear I left a comment on this. DanseLeviat... how ever you spell it... referenced Pink Floyd. I'm hearing more Roy Harper, a 70s contemp of Floyd. But I'm also hearing U.S.-based Americana and even a touch of Doby Gray's "Drift Away!" Bug FORGET those references. Your guitars are great and your voice is commanding here.
