Description
I treated myself to a Line 6 Pod X3 for Christmas and decided to add an electric guitar sound (and drums) to this otherwise classical sounding (?) piece. Is it too out of place?

Interesting
music has not limits, excepting to ones imagination. Though in is a little less polished in a couple of places, it is without a doubt a provocative piece. I enjoy the change with the entrance of the drums as with went into a tango/tarantella touch. Fun. And thats what this, music thing, is all about.

Good of you to post this up. I'll have to see what else your page provides.

Definitely
could use more polish - but I've taken it as far as my skills will allow (for now). The timing sounds off in some places to my ear, but I ended up making things worse by trying to edit things. Thanks for listening and commenting.

Here's to mix and match
I appreciate the skill it takes to mix genre and come up with something totally different. The mix here had the effect on me of going round trip on your fusion merry-go-round, I started out where I was, spaced out for a while, and then came back to myself. Keep experimenting. Your on the right track (and left too)

Solid track
I like the guitar addition, altho I would have prefered a real guitarist, but we work with what we have and yu did a fab job of doing that I really like this composition and your performance...

Cheers

Dave

Real guitarist?
Not sure if that is a criticism of my guitar playing or if you thought the guitar parts were loops of some sort. That's me playing - but maybe I should have brought in a real guitarist - LOL! Anyhow, thanks for listening and commenting.

For Danny
Nice writing. I like the guitar. I don't think it's out of place at all.

the blend of instruments
...seems just fine to my sense of orchestration. Don't worry about perfection in the mix. That's an art In and of itself. What is so nice about this number is the composition itself. piano is very very pleasant, too. Is it acoustic or a plug-in?
(Now and again there's is a clash In harmony between several of your voices. did you want that? It sounds out of place in an otherwise very traditionally-harmonic piece. ... I enjoyed this very much.

The piano is
Garageband's Orchestra Grand piano played through my Yamaha digital piano/midi controller. I too heard the clash of harmony in the editing phase, but it started to grow on me and I decided to leave it in. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Yes this works for me too.
I agree with the comment about a Queen feel. That's a great thing to have. Nice dynamics! Me likes!

Nice melding of styles
Hi. I was away on holidays camping in early January and didn't get a chance to have a listen to this. I like the melding of styles and the great piano. Thanks for having a listen to my new song as well. Warm regards, Peter.

Not out of Place
for me I dig it, I love orchestration with a rock attitude or progressive touch, I live for it actually and this piece is superb...

For Danny
Haunting melody and arrangement. I liked your piano line, and it is cool to hear the electric blend right in.
