Here's my contribution to MJCC11. This was really one of my favourite MJ tunes of last year, and I was so excited when James and Egbert let me have a go at it. It's quite a bit different, so please also have a listen to the original versions:

	Love this song This is one of James best songs and that is saying something. Love the rocking guitar lines in this. It really works well. Your vocals do remind me a bit of Smashing Pumpkins. blown away by this extraordinary effort, I absolutely love it, and am so thrilled that such a great guy and huge talent chose to do one of our songs, The first time I heard Egbert's original music "secrets" I just fell in love with it, and it opened huge creative doors for me, everything you've done here is top notch, love the energy you gave it, great instrumentation, you freakin' knocked this out of the park friend, your voice sounds amazing, the production is pro, truly a dream come true for me to have someone like you to cover a song that I was a part of creating. I was blessed to have 2 other huge macjammers, Yves and Maurice cover another song of mine, this is awesome, thank you so very much Dan!

tell you what a listening pleasure this gives ! :-)

This song is going to be a MJ classic, a wonderful song, and Dan, you made a fantastic version ! I think you kept the same vocal range (and you've got a great voice), for the soundbed, the listener remains tuned in and it's easy to follow, yet it is such an authentic interpretation of the song ! Not a pure imitation. I loved it !

I've always thought covers should either be completely true to the original or or completely true to the coverer's style. Anything in the middle always sounds confused and, to borrow your term, inauthentic. Knowing that matching James voice and Egbert's slinky smooth guitar lines would be very challenging, I decided to just do my own thing with it; I'm really glad its been received so well. Thanks for listening and commenting.
