A couple of years back, the extremely talented French pianist (and Macjammer at that time) Henri Roger, gratiously requested in a thread for some tunes to work on: I jumped at the chance of a piano rendition of my song "Letting go" previously posted here as a very simple acoustic guitar/vocal capture, and Henri came up with the goods!

I have been meaning to re-vamp this tune for 2 years but not found the time or the vocal inclination. Today I got the chance and the urge ... enjoy.

Beautiful and moving
I love your singing, the harmonies, and the whole song. It works extremely well with piano, and kudos to Henri for doing this. My only nit is that I'm not crazy about the piano sound; it seems a kind of heavy sound (a bit "thumpy", if that makes any sense) for this song, and it sounds like it's continuously linked to a string sound, which sounds good some of the time, but I'm not sure it does all the time.

A beautiful song, though!

Good one Alan
Henri was/is a favourite of mine - his jazz playing with his band was sublime at times. I'd never have picked him as the pianist here if you hadn't mentioned it (as Clark has said also I think). Not to say there's anything wrong with the piano of course - the whole song has come up so very very well. Great vox and harmonies, and a neat song.

I agree the piano playing/sound should be more soft.
I had a very good time when I came at Macjams it's been great to listen to many good songs and meet nice musicians and singers and also make a few collabs.
I had the luck 2 years ago to get a online music distribution deal with a European digital label named "Believe" wich gave me the opportunity to sell all my albums on all online stores. I have put all the music players on my macjams page all the music is streamable for free.
Later Facebook appeared and it's a great tool to meet french artists, it's easier for me to talk with ...
I think being at macjams requires to be active with listens and comments,I don't have enough time for this now.
I play with 2 bands from the french riviera and solos projects.
But why not make some new collabs here from times to times ? :-)
