Description

Apologies to those who commented on yesterday's version. I ended up pulling it due to finding I had mixed some of the wrong vox in to the mp3. I've gone back and re-recorded nearly every part since yesterday and played around with the guitars a bit more.
A slice of melancholy indie rock which is something of a showcase for EZdrummer's fantastic flexibility. I've used some of the preset patterns as the basis for this track but played around with velocities and done a fair bit of editing to get a drum track I liked.

	Mix issues ... I think I may have shot myself in the foot here. Those "mix issues" are deliberate, I was aiming for that quiet indie vocal that's barely above the mix, that said, given your comments I may revisit. Thanks for listening. Check out my latest song called Get Out of Town (V.2)

I get what you're trying to do. This is a really well written tune. This and your last post are two of my favorites - I really like the direction that you're heading in this year. I love that 'when i saw gary's(?) car in the yard' that's a killer line, specific and loaded with 'story'. I just think you've got more fussing to do with the mix. You love a bright, immediate mix, and this version seems to be that usual mix of yours fighting it out with your lo-fi idea...My one suggestion would be to bury the drums (and mute the snare hits a bit). I think that would be a good place to start.
