Description
Well they say if you play with the best you have to up your game so I hope I've Done Ed's work some justice. On a lazy Sunday I stumbled on the original track of My Blue Genie by Ed Sloparts. I was blown away with the whole feel of the track and the riffs that were scattered throughtout.
I wrote to Ed asking if I could play along with the track as he had suggested that we might collab just before Christmas and to me this seemed the perfect piece to use. He kindly gave his permission.
As with any piece, when it's posted it's done as a complete project so the first task I had was to make some room for my additional playing without interfering with the flow of the original that I liked so much. To do this I coppied a complete section and spliced them on to the original in effect making the original longer to allow for lyrics and a solo to be inserted.
Thats about it with the exception of some invaluable tutoring on mixing to enhance the lessons I had from Terraplane. Therefore I post this for your perusal. From an Orignal instrumental piece composed by Mr Ed Sloparts Wemmerus A true gentleman and Deaf Bluesman (On his own admission and our joke). I give you a reworked My Blue Gene with Lyrics. Ed Big respect and bigger thanks.

Cracking trad blues! Can see the eyes closing and the head moving with the music. Great turnaround and the end is straight out of a New Orleans coffeehouse. Well done
