Description

First ever recording from guitarist / lyricist and all round good guy, Ben Campbell and me. Ben very kindly rustled up a session in his house and we managed to achieve this joint venture that, to be fair, is not bad for a day's work, considering we are catching up after an almost 15 year absence from each other's company.

See what you think as a debut. It's about missing someone close.

Great Work by Both
I love the subtle addition of the keys . . . it's really one of those soft, understated touches that sets this song apart! The very first thing I thought when I listened to the opening bars was, "This sounds like being in an underwater kingdom." It has a strangely dark, plaintive feel, which is totally cool! Wo! The bass stab at 2: 46 is just awesome--great touch!

Really beautiful work by both of you; a wonderful collaboration. Thanks for the download! :)

You really did listen to this with both ears open!! Thank you - I love how you spot the tiny bits that I think might go unnoticed. That stab was a late addition, but it works well. I still feel humbled that someone would want to DL, but I'm glad you did; the thought of my guy Ben's guitar (and 50% of everything else) on your iTunes is a good feeling..

Hey Dude!

You know how I'm intermittent these days, but like I said before - it's an addiction that I can't stay away from forever. Great to know you're still checking out these tunes. Ben is a near neighbour, so hopefully we'll get our groove on a few more times. I certainly enjoyed it. Ahhh...Mosquito...now there's a collab!!!
