Lyrics
Cut-down Dude in his blue suede feet
High Street Girl who is looking so sweet
So he asks her to come out for a spin

All alone for just one day
While the Cat's at her Mothers the mice will play
So he asks her to spend the night with him

He simply adored her
He couldn't ignore her
He carefully slips off his wedding ring

Those Little Lies
We all tell those Little Lies
In our Little Lives
We all tell those Little Lies

Tight Black Skirt who is on the game
Car slows down; you don't ask his name
So she gets in and sits down by his side
Settle down in the bucket seat
Ignore the stink of the booze and the feet
I'm 16 and innocent she lied

And then in the morning
Without word of a warning
She took his heart and wallet for a ride

I know a Girl you can call her name
If you ask her to dance will you see her again?

Middle-aged and Middle-class
Waiting for a lover, not the first or the last time
She holds him
That glitter in her eyes

A young man's touch is why she's there
Her mother's around, but she don't care
He makes her feel so much alive

She moves to enfold him
Disrobe and behold him
They say that dead man never tell no lies

Those Little Lies
We all tell those Little Lies
In our little lives
We all tell those Little Lies

Those Little Lies
Those Little Lies

nice voice
You have such a relaxed, pleasant voice. I like the traditional, steely sound on the guitar. Well done.

Thanks - and credit to....
Hi,

Thanks for the nice comment - and credit should go to Chaz who plays guitar on this one.

Believe it or not, I've never sung this solo as I can't quite do the sychapation (sp)on the guitar and sing at the same time. Before you ask, in fact, I do have trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time :-)

Listened to both
This version is more interesting. I like the vibe in this one, the entire band makes the song sound too straight beat. I think you could add some bass to this and a hand drum or something and it would sound fuller and quite good. Very good song here man congrats!

Cheers for listening to both!
Thanks for giving both a try - I like the 'original' too - although seeing it played by a band to a festival audience of a few hundred was quite a blast.

Wowzers
I'm sure I've never heard your music before. I'm glad I didn't miss this, you have a great voice. 36 hours? Well, they don't know what they're missing. Great stuff!

Little Lies
Well structured, pre-chorus pulls right into the chorus, anchored by a good hook. Relatable theme, catchy melody. Can hear why you got some play from this one.
