Description
Finally, a song NOT about my wife. I had to keep reassuring her this was about the ancient myths of the mariner being lured to his demise by the song of the siren. She reminded me that this was also a metaphor of many modern day relationships. Once again, I reminded her ~ it's not always about you dear :-)

Lyrics
Verse 1
Came on softly in the night
Caressed my ears without a sound
Tried in vain to put up a fight
Dragged face down to the ground
Pre Chorus
Hold on
With all your might
Lose your grip you will
Lose your life
Chorus
Blame it on the muse of fate
True love’s call is a siren’s song
I found out too late
If I’d only gone home
Verse 2
Followed her on a lover’s course
Along blood tracks in the sand
Spilled out from my life force
All drawn by my own hand
Pre Chorus
Hold On
Don’t lose control
Give up your heart she’ll
Steal your soul
Chorus
Shout out to the fates
True love’s call is a siren’s song
I found out too late
If I’d only gone . . .
Chorus
Blame it on the muse of fate
True love’s call is a siren’s song
I found out too late
If I’d only gone home
Came on softly in the night
Caressed my ears without a sound
Tried in vain to put up a fight
Dragged face down to the ground
Pre Chorus
Hold on
With all your might
Lose your grip you will
Lose your life
Chorus
Blame it on the muse of fate
True love’s call is a siren’s song
I found out too late
If I’d only gone home
