(disclaimer: Scott HATES my metal LOOP at around the 2:30 mark .... I left it in ( ... I do what I want ....) soooooo ... I might get "dumped" now .....) ....

Okay, now this was freakin' awesome in every way. Alannah, I like when you sing, but I LOVE when you belt it out. When a singer can shift from a subtle vocal to an in your face "here I am dammit" vocal, it gives me a rush!

I like when the song takes that turn and gets all metal-esque. Very cool touch, it works. Scott's drums sound terrific. I certainly hope he doesn't dump you, you two mesh like no other! You have this crazy chemistry going on, I love it, keep going!

Mystical Swirl
i'm a complete fool for anything mystical, swirling, unknown, obscure energy. Loved the first part, especially. Your voice is really good, and suits the mood well. Something middle eastern about this occasionally, to my ear, in your vocals, the rawness and emotional modulation. The middle part was hard to listen to, but that is not a criticism. It represents something uncomfortable and painful, and the music should reflect that.

All in all, bloody brilliant, excuse my language.

	Very Expressive You know, the metal loop didn't grab me, but the primal scream at 3:48 more than made up for it. 	hypnotic I'm not much of a metal head, but this is well placed and has purpose in the mix. Wonderfully heartfelt and expressive vocals. Macbeth's witches?
Beautiful beginning but there is an underlying intensity, almost foreboding, that underlies it. The break out at 2.30 brings on Macbeth's witches :-) but things regain some equilibrium towards the end. I really like the layered vocals and the atmosphere that you create in this song, Alannah. ... unfortunately my dusty old PC has a hard time with tons of vocal tracks and loads of FX and I am forced to mix down multiple versions of each bit as I add more layers to it ... and ultimately some of the finer nuances that were originally in the instrumental section get lost .... but its all good anyway .... Scott always adds new stuff which fixes it all in the end.
