Lyrics
What Do You Say...
What do you say
To a man who's put his life on the line
who's been looked over and who's been walked on
now running out of time
What do you say
to a women who has played the game
of the good wife, the companion, but no longer walks the line
What do you say
When he tells you you're the only one
Do you laugh out loud, or shed a tear
Does your life come undone
What do you say,
When you see someone falling down
Do you lend a hand, help them stand
Do you kick them down to the ground
The words don't come easy
The second time around
We all need a little help
To keep us from falling down
CHORUS
Take my hand
We'll walk to the other side
We won't stay here on our own
Cause what we say
Will take us to another day
Don't stay with what we know
What do you say
To a man who's put his life on the line
who's been looked over and who's been walked on
who's running out of time
What do you say
to a women who has played the game
of the good wife, the companion, but no longer walks the line

Really well put together track. Nice production/arrangement. Enjoyed this.
Feel that the bright, affirmative, positive sound only really suits the sentiments of the chorus though? Perhaps something less confident for the verses, which are after all really a series of questions? Perhaps a bit more vulnerability there would have engaged the listener more closely?
Mind you, i suppose that's acoustic rock, isn't it?
Enjoyed it anyway, and look forward to hearing more.
Cheers now
