I love (and completely breathe) the sentiment here... great work here... the last chord change there "..seems so real" sounds very Moody Blues to me, and is a real sweet resolution. What a nice tribute to the other half of the Holbrook team, please give my best to your great help-mate. Super to hear some new music from you, well done!

60's vibe
Nice barebones tune with a nice meld of the early british years ala mercy-beat along with a spec of carry-over from the hootenanny sounds of say, chad mitchell etc.
Probably the music that got you into the music if I dare take a guess.

Loved the changes.

You wife must be pleased. Only critique I might make would be to shorten it a bit and maybe change the fuzz guitar soloing to some other instrumentation or effect, to make it subtler. The soloing I feel it takes away from the nice vibe you got set up (imho.)

I really like this tune.

which is as it should be, - I remember hearing once that record companies listen to just the first few seconds of an audition tape and if it hasn't hit them by then it's ejected. This will certainly have passed that test. Very attractive song and a nice production. I hope your wife's spitits are a little higher or at least soon will be.

This is a really nice post. It's simple, has lots of "air", great words and solid playing. It has a certain quality in the vocals that makes it a very intimate listening experience (love the harmony part). On top of that, the production is first rate. I think maybe the fuzz could be a little over the top, and maybe it's a little long, but these are only minor issues - the song is really good.
I hope things work out as well as possible for you, Susie and your family.

So Real
"She seems so real" just says it all. What a beautiful line. As I was listening, I was admiring how polished the vocals sound, and how well balanced they are with the guitars. Really original and hooky guitar riffs too; I like them a lot. To go back to the vocals for a sec . . . the harmonies are very tender and expressive. What a beautiful song of support! Hope things get better soon.
