Let's stomp
Really cool stuff going on.
I like the way it builds up slowly and pulls you in.
Good use of electro and eastern beats.
I maybe would have double tracked the guitar and reverbed and slight delayed the 2nd one to try and give it more of the sound of an eastern instrument...that's not to say the guitar isn't great.
anyway, I'm off to make some felafel.
All this eastern music has got me hungry :-)
cheers

I did try
layering the guitar sound, but with all the other stuff going on it got a bit muddy, so I stuck with a single guitar sound. Can't beat a nice bit of felafel!!

ha...loved brendan's comment; how to reduce the entire sphere of eastern music to an effect in garageband. oh wait...he must have at least liked the ending.
really cool track pete...lots of progressive build and distraction. very catchy. crystal mix. excellent.

I don't think
he intended to reduce an entire culture to the status of a plug in!! The doubled up guitar trick does produce a sound that mimics an Oud etc, but it didn't work on this peice. Thanks for having a good old listen.

Tribal Stomp
Cool song man.
Yeah, I love those mideastern riffs.
Cool guitars and heaviness abound.
Nicely mixed and produced. That's why I like Reason and Record so much because the mixing suite is so great.
Just my cup of tea!

Mr. Eddie! I love Reason and Record - it's no effort working in that kind of environment and the mastering suite is excellent.

Love this
I had an urge to sing "Time Has Come Today" on the intro... Chamber Brothers style ( I think). or at least it made me think of their hit. Thought evoking mix. One of those that your mind wanders as you listen. I went to the middle east with the Chambers Brothers... LOL Maybe I need to switch to decaf? Liked it.

This is something special. I like the whole mix. The juxtaposition of the middle east beats with the distorted guitar was great. I also like the chord changes.

I love the sounds of the middle east
including the languages. You've taken those sounds more towards rock than I've ever tried to do myself, and it's come off really well I think. For me there's something really infectious in the rhythms of the middle east - we've spent time in Turkey and Morocco and the music was always a highlight.
Very nicely done.

Turkish
Has a Turkish feel for me.
Like the way it builds, with a breakdown and another build.....
I think it would be good to have some vocal 'chords' to take it to a higher level - kind of backing stuff but prominent. Have you heard any Dead Can Dance ?
