I love this song. So much in fact that I had to do it four times. One of the previous efforts I posted here but this one beats all. Yves put his magic in it and I am thrilled to present it to you.
Words from Yves: "This is my 2nd collab with Gaylen, yet another amazing experience and great fun.
While chatting online, Gaylen asked me if I'd like to work on redoing one of his songs. I took a quick listen and while still online, I said I'd get down to work.
From that point on, I spent some time simply listening to "Blue" and learning the song. I wanted to take the song from a different angle, and not simply copying the existing arrangement. I started playing with some ideas and gradually things got clear and concrete about what we'd like to do.
I just love working with Gaylen. He's such a great talent and while he strives for good results, he remains very flexible and encouraging. He made me feel I had carte blanche while working on this, so we see where this is going, and he didn't hesitate to bring constructive input and encouragement along the way. I felt really good all the way during this collab.
On this project I could finally take advantage of the recording interface I started using since short and I'm quite happy with the difference it made on bass guitar and guitar takes. After we had the initial mix, Gaylen worked on the vocals and sent the vocal track. Then we ended up with the final result.
I feel truly privileged having this opportunity, and what a great fun this has been ! Thank you so much G-man !

This is spectacular, Yves and Gaylen, you are are both growing in leaps and bounds as artists here, this is a great song and a stellar production, awesome! My new favorite Gaylen song!
