Funny how songs go one minute your writing a big band blues number that I can't wait to finish. Then I look over at A photo of My Dad thats been sitting there on my windowsill since he passed away a few years ago and think god I miss him. Thats where the song came from.
It's simple but hopfully a catchy tune and one that either reminds some how lucky they are to have had a great dad and others to appreciate Dad if their luck enough to have them around. A hint that he's the poor sod that has his hand constantly in his pocket handing out sweetie or candy tokens you driving you everywhere or picking you up. God bless them.

Lyrics
He carried me on Shoulders ten Feet High,
Taught me to look folks right in the eye,
When all said and done, I Am my Fathers Son
and I'm proud of the things hs's done
through the years.
Stood By me then, Stands By me still
A Voice to guide Whats right whats wrong.
With hand on heart I know it and till
lifes fight is done, I tell you now
I am my Fathers Son.
So I listen to the memorys,
I don't forget him now he's gone
Of all the things he taught me through the years.
There's one thing I'm sure of,
and my heart rely's upon
The fact that I am My Fathers Son.
Taught me to look folks right in the eye,
When all said and done, I Am my Fathers Son
and I'm proud of the things hs's done
