Che hun ta mo, MJ'ers -
I'm wishing everyone a bountiful and blessed life, first of all. It's been a very busy couple of years with music and I finally cleared a block of time for dedicated production in the studio. Besides meeting the one and only Feter McBlues at one of my gigs, I think about the MJ community all of the time as THE place where much of my career skills have been acquired. Much love and many thanks to everyone who assisted with that.
Though many recordings have been made, this latest track is the first one of its kind for me, so I'm laying it out here for critique in its rough form. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Lyrics
Don't you ever wonder why, to this earth we must be tied?
gravity lets others fly, dreamers glide from deep inside
periwinkle clouds at dawn lead the crimson sunrise on
daybreak drops a saffron bomb, open your eyes
You really think you got me?
as I slip away again, sabotaging discontent
melt into a starry blend, this is how forever ends
catch me if I fall tonight, let our hearts and souls collide
this is where our hope ignites, open your eyes
You really think you got me, don't you?
Don't you think you got me?
Don't you?
You got me.
gravity lets others fly, dreamers glide from deep inside
periwinkle clouds at dawn lead the crimson sunrise on
daybreak drops a saffron bomb, open your eyes
You really think you got me?
as I slip away again, sabotaging discontent
melt into a starry blend, this is how forever ends
catch me if I fall tonight, let our hearts and souls collide
this is where our hope ignites, open your eyes
You really think you got me, don't you?
Don't you think you got me?
Don't you?
You got me.

This is a side to your music that I was not aware of, but you do it very well! I like the space you have here in the verses; it really lets the listener focus on the lyrics, which are fantastic... very philosophical... stuff to ruminate on. Very poetic imagery too.
Welcome back! it's great to hear your stuff again! It sounds like your career is really taking off, which is well-deserved.
