Blown Away (2trx2011

Been outta the loop recently. But saw two track challenge and this early post fit the bill. My apologies for posting a re-tread, but wanted to have this heard in context of similar stripped-down productions. Me and Deb Carlson, circa 2008, 1 mic, 1 guitar, 2 voices.

Blown Away

Screen door’s swingin’, chimes are ringin’
wind is up today
when I’m with you
I get blown away

Dandelions, flags a flyin’
Clouds across the bay
When I’m with you
I get blown away

The way the wind blows round me
I can almost fly
Five flights to the rooftop runnin’
Fallin’ into the sky

Dust motes floatin’, paper boats ‘n
Fields of wheat and rye
Like a river
They go driftin’ by

Its so easy, this gentle breezy
Way I feel with you
And when you’re present, I’m evanescent
I hope you feel it, too

Misty vapor, old newspaper
Bottles cast astray
Like a feather I get blown away

The way the wind blows round me
I can almost fly
Five flights to the rooftop runnin’
Fallin’ into the sky

Sea foam’s driftin’, leaves are liftin’
Trees all dip and sway
When I’m with you I get blown away…..
