When I listen to music this good.. ...it truly justifies how much I paid for these headphones, let me tell you! Now, I just got back from Orchestra Hall here in Minneapolis and after listening to this I can't remember hearing the Minnesota Pops at all this evening. This has a wonderfully sweeping style to it--full of life and lends itself admirable to the art of dance. Superlatives for this Charlie and best of luck in this endeavor--ya can't miss! Love those horns This is strong and full of clear, large movements - a wonderful piece to dance to. You have all this cool stuff happening in the strings and then the horns come in and it really gets interesting - emphatic and soaring, grounded and yet full of an almost rotating quality that has circles within circles. Very very cool piece. Reminds me a bit of Copland's western themed works, which I like a lot. But it is your work through and through. It's got some ump. Not laid back or even particularly subtle but upfront and I would think good for dance as well. Now I just got to find the right choreographer...
