Track 6 from Sonic Magpie's RPM Challenge CD "In Limbo."

This track was a trip to work on. I had approached each instrumental Bryn made available by following my first impressions, and when he posted an instrumental with the title "She Turned Crimson," I thought I'd take on the challenge of actually using the title as the chorus.
Needless to say, this is one of the more surreal tracks, lyrically speaking, on the album--but since we were 'in limbo' anyway, it didn't have to make sense, did it?
Bryn says there is a definite Bowie-vibe going on with the vox, but that wasn't intentional on my part. I simply responded to Bryn's awesome instrumental and improvised most of the vocals track-by-track, recording them on the macbook pinhole mic.
This was a particularly fun track to work on--mostly because the song built itself vocally with each layer. And, as I hadn't planned it out beforehand, each new take was a new discovery.
Thank you, B, for such an fun track--and an awesome experience with the RPM Challenge!

this song is glittery, shimmery... the voices and instruments work so well in the mix, nothing gets in the way. Dang!
