Description
This is a song about The Leviathan and a ship he attacks.

The main riff is a classic folk-ish melody that I "Metalized", not sure exactly where it comes from though.

Lyrics
Verse one

Above the ocean, salted gray
Another ship has lost its way
After drink the do pray
And the days of rest are few

In the blue abyss it sits
and waits for lost and reckless ships
Leviathan is just a myth
But tell that to the dead

The captain and the crew alike
are worried sick, with faces white
Off the port side in the night ((OFF THE PORT SIDE))>>
Somethings waiting there

"A prince of hell"
"Short of a god"
Recorded from the captains Log
The day may break to early fog
The crew must sit and wait

VERSE 2

Above the ship A storm moves west
Leviathan is in its nest
The vicious killer, undisputed
Master of the Sea

Its eyes are green like serpentine
From its mouth comes smoke and steam
The men thought it was just a dream
When Hell rose from the sea

Man the Guns! Set the hooks!
You are sailors, Do not be Shook!!
But when the beast blocked out the sun
The bravest men did shake
((HOLD FAST BOYS))>>

Splintered wood and shattered bone
The deck a-mess with blood and foam
The beast has struck, they're all alone
In the middle of the sea

VERSE 3

The salty water, stained with red
A crimson pool with floating dead
broken pieces of the ship
30 dead and none that lived!

Leviathan, It's legend cast -
fear to men under the mast
7 seas from blue to gray
The captains log spoke truth

They fought the beast to bitter end
The prince of hell was sure to win
Harpoons bounced off from its skin
None can hurt Leviathan!

Couldn't be more black....

I love a metal tune with old seafaring lyrics. Cool instrumentation. Nice sound-scape interlude at 2:10!

Very cool
You should collab with FastEddie, you two would make a heck of a pair. Cool stuff. This kind of folk seafaring metal is just what the doctor ordered!

Pirate Fun
Love the bouncy yet super heavy riff. Gives a slight "Rim of the ancient Mariner"/Maiden vibe. Cool stuff. Love the story and the lyrics.

Fresh metal!!!!!!
I wanna hear what you will put together on the downside of your learning curve with home recording. I mean dude in the 2 months you have been here you have progressed in frickn leaps and bounds. I hope you will hang with us long enough to blow our hair back cause you're damn near there. I wish I could pick things up as quick as you seem to. We need more metal heads around here too.
Peace

Man, you are too kind...thanks a million +1, made my day.

I have been playing various instruments for a while, but just recently realized that I could, in a sense, be my own band. I opened Garageband for the first time about 6 months ago (after having a mac for a year) and shortly after picked up a recording interface. I spend lots of time practicing with mixing/editing (as you have noticed) and I am glad that you can see the results. I picked up a lot here on Macjams, through the forums, older posts and such, as well as listening to what all you amazing, talented musicians are doing.

Thanks again man, It means A LOT to hear it. Especially from someone like yourself, one of the many people I look up to on the site.
