Lyrics
I'm going to a place to call my own,
I'm going to call it my second home
The night slams down in the dark of the forrest
It's my place and I know my place best
I run to the hills and look out to the town
I kneel down but I can't touch the ground
Feeling happy and feeling sad
Is this good or is this bad?
It ain't ...

Chorus

My Place
Where no-one can get to me
My Place
Where I go to set me free
My Place
I'm out on my own it ain't
My Place
It's my second home.

I'm going to a place to learn new things
The 'angel' that I see has dirty wings
The night slams down in the dark of the forrest
It ain't my Place coz I know my place best
I run to the hills and look out to the town
I kneel down but I can't touch the ground
Feeling happy and feeling sad
Is this good or is this bad?
It ain't ...

Chorus

My Place
Where no-one can get to me
My Place
Where I go to set me free
My Place
I'm out on my own it ain't
My Place
It's my second home.

Great song!
I love the guitar intro. May need a solo. But I was really liking the chorus. good use of multiple voices.

The song has a really cool feel to it. more please!

kickin'
Good guitar playing, combined well with the drums and
vocals.

The vocal style works successfully....sometimes the words
got swallowed, but the posted lyrics helped! (thanks for
posting lyrics, by the way.)

Very good overall.

Impressed (and envious) at the strength of your writing and playing ability...and so young! Keep this up and your music will take you far.

This is great stuff- who do you consider as your primary influences?

Thanks a lot mate!! - This track wasn't really influenced by anyone really, it
came from moosing around with the riff! I would say my influences vary a lot
because I've grown up around loads of different genres. When I was about 14
I was really interested in House music and garage. Then this moved to a
liking of Limp Bizkit (because of their obvious rap influences). Then to indie,
Travis kinda stuff. But none of these felt true to me, I'm now into punk, I feel
more at home with this because it's not about guns and drugs, its just about
life and things that are worth talking about. I'll stop rambling now and answer
the question, The Offspring, Flogging Molly, Green Day, Metallica, Dropkick
Murphys, Stiff Little Fingers, Billy Bragg, Sex Pistols, The Ramones etc....

Cool stuff!
Very energetic. I appreciate the little rhythmic break.
Constant up and down guitar strumming, whether
acoustic or electric, has never appealed to me.

Great vocals too.
