Description
Everyone in APOD has been fascinated with iPhone apps lately. Chordbot has been used on a bunch of tunes, and this song was based around it. Bryn (paticledots) had created the guitar chord sequence for this with chordbot, and then after exporting it into logic he added some ambient sounds, rhodes, bass and drums. He put it in our shared Dropbox and I grabbed it from there.
I took his tracks, created a synth melody, cut up the bass and re-arranged it, added some more percussion, and wrote a string part. decided I hated the string part (since I am completely lost when it comes to automating strings) and changed it to a warped choir that I made from a couple of mellotron patches and a theremin patch.
Not really a downtempo song, but since it's mellow and electronic instrument based.....
