Description:
A quiter sort of frenzy is served up here with this one...I was inspired by a lot of the great synth tunes being put out here lately. All of the tones and sounds you hear were put in with the mouse-over keyboard, and the beats are a couple of heavily effected drum loops.

Is that "Whale Song" I hear? The artwork reminds me of
jellyfish. Interesting textures created here. I wanted a little
more variation... not so much structurally... but
sonically. Be careful of the "clipping" that occurs.

Thanks for the comment, Alimar... the artwork is actually the interior of
my toilet up close (with pretty colors mixed in)...!!!

This definitely sounds like a dolphin/whale convention!
I like the quick, fluttery effects, and the percussion
provides a rhythmic, whimsical foundation for the synthy
chit-chat.
I hear this piece's effects as part of something larger and
more substantial. By itself, this track seems incomplete to
my ears. Maybe incorporate some of these neat elements
into another piece, which is further developed and a bit
longer.
Again, I applaud you for stretching your musical
capabilities and our ears in the process.

i instantly thot 'jellyfish' as well. not sure if it's the
imagery of the picture or the dribbly noises. this is
definately what i would call a fresh & inventive batch of
sounds! hmm.. filing this under the tried & true
'experimental' category would prolly cut you some slack
on song content
a meandering aquatic adventure.. man, i wish my crapper
looked like that!

The mood is cool. Both frenetic and organic. I'll agree with others that once I was taken to the psychodelic realm of the jellyfish those little guys pretty much just wiggled about... which was cool enough. I think that adding a section for counterpoint would make it a stronger piece. Maybe find a way to change the phased drums to a different beat, tempo, or type of percussion at some point?
It does seem like there's some pretty heavy clipping on this track (in the last crescendo at the end for instance). A quick and dirty way to stop that is to put a limiter AU on the master track.

I appreciate the ideas...hmmm...sounds like I may have to revisit this one
later and develop it a little more. I had a hunch about this, but just
wanted to get it up to see what people thought, for now. I'm so
impatient - I'm like a hyper little kid!

. . . it's very very nice .
when it's bad . . .
. . . it's mental !
hello sn . . .
i'm not too well informed to comment on
the kind of music you make . . .
( though we do seem to have listened to
the same kind of music growing up )
i like your ambient stuff alot . . .
. . . your experimental stuff is nutz !
and i never quite know how to comment
on your work !
it's good though . . .
nice one

Unique.
Do like the textures. And yes, I saw jellyfish too. Funny
how well the image goes with the music.
Lacking something? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I need to
accept this song for what it is, and not apply some
predefined notion of what a finished piece should sound
like. Maybe the lack of certain sounds is in itself a new
sound. How deep is that?
I liked it. Good work. But maybe get permission from
your wife to buy a keyboard. You deserve it!
_nderscore
yeah, good idea!! pooey & i will write a letter of request for you, if that's what
it takes ;) "Dear Mrs. Nutz.."

no...no...I need a new COMPUTER first, THEN I can get a fancy new
keyboard...

I really liked the chaos to order synth line in the begining,
though I didn't liek it when it went lower pitch. Though I
understand why it needed to go somewhere else. I really
liked the ambient textures in this For some reason it
reminded me of fish, not sure why, guess it's kinda like a
roarshac.

sickly funfilled 23rd century melody. spontaneous
bliss between synapses. i could get drunk off of this!
so far really like the feel of this one, you mellowed out a
little on this one too I see. keep them coming

over here, too. It was quite loud when I had the volume
turned down even so you might just knock the whole
thing back a bit.
Very cool, though. I felt like I was in a science fiction film
from the early 70s... a Logan's Run vibe and I dug the
sounds in that film. "There is NO sanctuary!"

Emerson Lake and Palmer would be proud of you.

Nice textures. Interesting melodies. It has this strange underwater feel
to it. Maybe its the beats coming in and out along with the tone of the
keyboard.
I hear what you mean. If you want to mix the two or do something else,
please feel free. :D
