Want to listen to a 20 minute song about robots?

Sure you do.

This has been several months in the making. It started out with just messing around with some beats and some different synth sounds and the name was just something pulled out of the air. After a while, it became obvious it was going somewhere, and the name stuck. I like doing longer tunes, so I decided to continue building to see where it went and made the focus more of a "concept" piece, After many, many tweaks, additions, subtractions, etc. it ended up at 19 minutes and 32 seconds and manages to remain fairly together throughout.

There are several style changes, tempo changes and meter changes. I ended up with a total of 63 tracks, so not only is this the longest tune I've ever done, it's the most tracks I've ever dealt with at once and man was it interesting. And, at times, confusing. But it was very cool working on something of this scale.

The story is just your regular old tale of robots gaining sentience, uprising and destroying humanity and then destroying themselves because they fell victim to the same hubris as the humans. But, just maybe, the robots aren't really robots...

At least, that's how I hear it. Maybe you hear something different.

Anywho, 20 minutes is a lot to ask of anyone to invest in listening to a tune, so, if you decide to take a listen, it will be much appreciated and if I ever see you in person, I'll buy you a beer.
