Description
another one from the deepest darkest depths of my history. written back when i was in college, i would suppose this was the closest thing i ever had to a "hit" everyone on campus at NYU pretty much was singing it. i actually wrote it after hearing the squeeze song "when the hang over strikes" on their "sweets from a stranger" album.
i remember one night after a bit of difficult news i got completely wasted and sick, and my college buddies propped me up fully dressed in a shower and one of them took out my guitar and serenaded me with this song. ahhhh, memories!!!
hope you all enjoy this, it was almost all live instruments, even most of the drums, including a beer bottle.

Lyrics
Wake up in the morning and the sun is much too bright
shade my eyes from the light and pull myself out of bed
my woman is waiting down stairs and she's a woman who cares
say boy what's happened to you and I tell her, I’m hangover blue
hang over blue,
why do I do the things that I do
woman you know that it's true
I don't mean to hurt you
her the telephone ring, and it's ringing much too loud
try to answer proud but its driving me crazy
it's my boss and he's mad. And all my excuses are bad
but I just can't tell him true, I’m hangover blue
hang over blue,
why do I do the things that I do
woman you know that it's true
I don't mean to hurt you
my woman, she takes my hand, lets me know she understand
woman I feel like such a fool, but you know girl, I love you
hang over blue,
why do I do the things that I do
woman you know that it's true
I don't mean to hurt you
hang over blue hang over blue,
woman I'm hanging all over you
you have the strange to see me through and I need you,
I need you.
shade my eyes from the light and pull myself out of bed
my woman is waiting down stairs and she's a woman who cares
say boy what's happened to you and I tell her, I’m hangover blue
