dream steve and john this is really cool. char...you sound like the next undiscovered starlet.....seriously....wow....your vibrato is phenomenal here on steve's downtempo backbeat. trademark delay echo guitar....love it. cool layered vocals. love the section at 3.40 without percussion...i'd have let that string out for at least another ten atmospheric seconds of cool. definitely could have gone on longer....the whole thing. dreamcharktb What a trip listening to three of my favorite musicians working together. Sounds -- ethereal, slowly rolling around me. Vocal melody and chords sound bi-modal together. Interesting. Fancy mixing work-- "a bit different" --- yeah. Char's vocals sound great here, from both the performance and mixing/fx aspects. CHAR! I felt like I was teleported to some dark smokey lounge, 50's ambience yet somehow futuristic...romantic... Char cuts a velvety figure swathed in light in the center of that room! The soothing, quivering voice could be in the opening credits of an 007 movie. Dream, KTB and Tokai did an awesome instrumental showcasing of this mesmerizing song! I love Steve as he has always been very patient as I try from one to 9 incarnations of ideas. I sometimes don't even recognize myself because I've forgotten what all I wrote and sent. I send him notes like; "Which set of lyrics are you using?" Pieces parts are often juggled. I expect Steve wears a wizard's robe as he makes his music. I never worked with John before. Sung from the dark alleyway I just read an article on Moby, how when he was young his hangover lasted about 2 hours. In his mid twenties, it lasted all day. By his mid thirties, it lasted 3-4 days. (That's some hangover.) In his forties, he drank just to escape his endless hangover. Your evocative weight and claustrophobic echoing hypnotic track made me think of that.
