Thanks for all of the comments. We have removed the heavy \"chorus\" effects and agree that the simplicity works much better. Look forward to further comments...

Lyrics
You\'re part of the family/no need to take your shoes off/grab a seat beside of me/let\'s eat, drink, laugh and talk/So glad you\'re here/you lighten the atmosphere/raise your glass of beer/here\'s to a better year/I won\'t give up cause there\'s nothing bringing me down/I said, I won\'t give up cause there\'s nothing bringing me down, no-no/cause I plan to keep on trying/I plan to keep on smiling right now/Chorus/I wear this smile so I don\'t have room for a frown/I said, I wear this smile so I don\'t have room for a frown, no-no/And I plan to keep on smiling/I plan to keep on trying/nothing\'s gonna bring me down/So, glad you\'re here/Kick back and have another/glad you were here/you lightened the atmosphere/we\'re all out of beer/here\'s to a better year

This sounds a thousand times better now. I really like both of your singing now that I can hear it. It's a really nice simple song. Not really sure I'm getting the channel-changing bit's, but to each his own. I really enjoyed it regardless.

thanks for the continued feedback, Peter. The channel-changing effect isn't
perfect, but I thought it was an interesting idea...probably could be executed
better by a more professional mixer.

See you 'round,

Solid setting for solid tune
Great improvement on the mix. Nice simple tune
presented in a solid, sure-handed way. I really like the
"kick back and have another" singing at the coda, the
almost R&B style, it makes me look forward to any new
submissions you guys will share, but the first few "So glad
you're here" repeats need a tweak for tuning, cuz
everything else has such nice tuning and singing quality
throughout.

Wow, you really addressed my biggest concern with the song. The vocals
need to be a little stronger in the two choruses. Glad I wasn't imagining that.

That's funny you also mentioned R&B because Christine is actively working on
an R&B song. I think it's going to be a good fit for her.
