Tasty... Hi Stan. I like the groove you established on this. I thought it might be an instrumental but then your quality vocals kicked in and the mood slipped up a gear. Good song. Slip Away Lots of cool loungy things on MJ these days. This is slinky in it's own way. Those guitar noodles and slides are killer. The rap-esque lyrics seem a little odd at first, but it all comes back to the groove eventually. The mix is totally pro in every way. Fav'd and DL for inspiration and for when I need a cool groove. Great groove Love the way you establish the tune, then the vocal with its fast and slow parts makes this very listenable. The instrumental section late in the song picks up the theme of the lyrics beautifully and takes the song out on a gentle base. Thanks for sharing it! slip away as you may have noticed, i gravitate to your jazz tracks.....i just love the smooth and easiness of what you're doing in this genre. i think this is one of your best tracks. your lyrics are so 'on it'....and that 'slip away' hook is to die for. wow stan.....i'm really blown away by this. such originality is hard to come by but you do it pretty much with every track. i was wondering whether to get out earlier....but you earn the space because this is so easy on the ear.
