Description

Welcome to the first project by Nana Cabana Studios

This is Sheila's debut singing vocals. Might I add, she is also responsible for drum and music arrangement. She also had complete control as the producer. I myself engineered according to Sheila's wishes and added the instruments that she finalized.

Basically this is her baby and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working with her.

When I said
a crappy loop should have crappy vocals I meant it as a joke but it really turned out I think...

Chris tried once again to teach me how to put things together but instead I found it much more enjoyable to tell him what to do even if I had no clue what it was I was trying to tell him (thats the producer part I guess and a much nicer term that lil miss Bossy Pants)

Once Chris added in the acoustic guitar line the tune kind of just had a mind of its own and just seemed to lend itself to the trance feel so that is what we ended up with.

Certainly could not have done it without all the hard work Chris put into it and all the additional instruments he either played or pieced loops for. Oh... and I think that melodyne program might have been put to the test!

Beautiful
I posted earlier but for some reason some of my posts are not getting Through? I listened to this with my coffee this morning and I am listening again now and right from the start the little guitar riff is sweet then the vocals come in. Beautiful almost haunting in a good way. Nice with the harmonies and the nuances of strings and piano tinkering sets a great background.Repetitive lyric is catchy. Really like this

i really like this. love the layered repetitive 'who needs you' intro and that really sweet bass guitar running all over the place. strings and orchestration works so well. sheila's vocals are raw and genuine.....i like that. the orchestration (again) is beautifully conceived....and the 'who needs you' line could just go on forever and not get boring. that's a major feat of songwriting. incredibly catchy and haunting. excellent work. i am a big fan of this song.
