Don't Tell Me Who I Can Kiss Bebop? I'm not sure Dizzy or Bird would agree. Maybe starting with the walking bass 2 minutes in. But there is a modern jazz vibe happening here. Alannah is in top form here. I'm digging her lyrics and her vocal delivery is great. Great recording of your sax. Your tone throughout your range is outstanding. And your lines are fluid and tasty. Far out Cool reverby stuff. I like the dark groove. Reminds me a bit of The Police and their instrumental tunes. Great flowing sax. I like that it is a bit more dry in the mix (as you know is my own personal style). Drums and synth soundbed are great. The transition to spiffy jazz grooves is really cool. Again I listened to this a couple more times after the download. The synths in the background including some kind of angry sounding midrange rumbling thing happening way off in the distance that are just brilliant. I also love the boomy drum sounds. To me this is actually some of my favorite sax playing that you've done. It's your signature waves, but somehow seems more focused here. Cool man.
