Description
I'm currently reading the life story of singer/actress Ethel Waters, and came across this title in the book when they were talking about the first all African American production to make Broadway, called "The Blackbirds of 1928" (Bill "Bojangles" Robinson led the very talented cast). It was written by Jimmy McHugh and Dorothy Fields. I could have done much better with the "scatting" (notice I put that in parentheses--I'm no fool!) but I had the misfortune of accidentally ingesting a can of axle grease earlier in the evening and that made it kind of hard (Routine #40 in the book). Thanks again and hope you have a very good week and that the weather is nice wherever you are! Michael
