I was recently Married on the beach in Maui, I was inspired to write a song to my Wife as soon as I could get home and get a guitar in my hands.

Hey Rob
Great song...the vocals need to be brought way up...something in the music is masking frequencies in the vocals making it sound a little muddy. This song reminds me of a U2 song, which is awesome because I love U2! You have a great voice, and these are really sweet lyrics. Congrats on the marriage.

Muddy
is my middle name, that is a recurring problem with many of my recordings. Over processed perhaps? Not sure. I am a terrible audio engineer, but one problem is I have no monitors, I do all my recording using $20.00 Sony headphones, so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it, lol.
Anyhow, thanks for your input Nat, I really appreciate technical critique from MJ'ers, I't really helps to find out what others are hearing that I cannot.

	Better With You Wow. Sounds great, getting married on the beach. I love the idea of memorializing the most important events in your life in song. My only technical comment is the the reverb is a bit heavy. Other than that, it is well constructed and sounds good. I like the lyrics, your vocals and guitar work are very good. I like it. 	Lovely The lyrics are so heartfelt & the emotion in your vocals speak for themselves. Just wonderful! Hmmm, the overall production could be a bit more open. Sounds like a little too much reverb/or compression on the mix, making it sound distant. Still, it's undeniable, this is a terrific song! So glad you listened! Thanks very much for your kindness! Yes, I've always had mix issues on my stuff. I think I'm just gonna have to invest in some monitors soon. Mixing in these $20.00 sony headphones is causing me to miss so much in hearing fine details of recording.
It's a constant battle for me to resist using effects on my vocals, guitars etc. I really gotta work on that.

I agree a little with strange dream's comment regarding the cox, which are a little lacking in dynamics as a result of the busy mix nonetheless this is a standout track. The overall sound has that polished 80's stadium rock feel and your voice has a genuine rock quality to it. Great rhythm and structure and some awesome guitar tones round it all out. A prime candidate for some frequency sculpting, this could be radio ready very easily. Bravo.
