Description
I was at NXNE in Toronto this past week and got inspired. I feel like there are a lot of issues with this track, but it was loads of fun to record, so I'm not too bothered. Cheers!

Lyrics
Ovid On A Rocking Horse
The chorus of your muscles waits
Upon each crooked step you take
And bleeds in dew upon the ground.
And Mother, I would be content
To trap you in your firmament –
Leave you padlocked and bound.
Your seas are sailed by paper boats,
Your songs are sung from velvet throats –
These suns have scraped their knees.
And I’d have wagered that no dawn
Would bloom above you like a yawn
Until you learned to plead.
Oh
Yours, the frayed remains of a world that colored you gold,
Yours, the mosaic stains as blush upon this ochre mold –
You’ll let your joints still, though your seasons will never grow old
I’ll live however long it takes
To cross your staggering bridge and slake
The thirsting in my feet.
And Ovid on a rocking horse
Would steer an empire off its course,
Dream manifold retreats –
Though these seasons will never grow old.
The chorus of your muscles waits
Upon each crooked step you take
And bleeds in dew upon the ground.
And Mother, I would be content
To trap you in your firmament –
Leave you padlocked and bound.
Your seas are sailed by paper boats,
Your songs are sung from velvet throats –
These suns have scraped their knees.
And I’d have wagered that no dawn
Would bloom above you like a yawn
Until you learned to plead.
Oh
Yours, the frayed remains of a world that colored you gold,
Yours, the mosaic stains as blush upon this ochre mold –
You’ll let your joints still, though your seasons will never grow old
I’ll live however long it takes
To cross your staggering bridge and slake
The thirsting in my feet.
And Ovid on a rocking horse
Would steer an empire off its course,
Dream manifold retreats –
Though these seasons will never grow old.

Firsties!
Hooked by the bass in the first 5 seconds. Totally fun, I bet it wasa blast to do Yup, lots of issues, but you admitted that, so I'll dispense with the critique. It has a real "world music" african vibe to it in a cyclically revolving way. Thanks! Wish there was a DL button. I'd like to own this one.
