Description

This is a revision of my last post "Sunday Afrernoon 49 Jamm"

I took the advice to add acoustic guitar and my bud Woody helped me finish up the lyrics and done the vocal track...I also added bongos and a live tamborine.Of course this is still rough with a few playing mistakes and timing issues,but I'd like to get some feedback and or advice on the direction it's headed in.

The lyrics are about a guy that is nearly desperate to turn his marrige around.I thought it fit the mood.

Artwork is a picture my son snapped while we were working on this.

I like the vocal delivery - there's some pain in the voice! I like the way you develop the backing with instruments being introduced gradually. Not sure about the banjo on this one - the song feels bluesy to me I maybe a guitar would suit it better? Whichever way you go on that one, I enjoyed listening!

	banjo I know what you mean about the banjo,,,this is the first time I've tried it.This whole comp. actually developed around a little banjo riff so I guess I'll keep mixing till it feels more settled.I really appreciate your input,thanks for taking the time to comment. 	I Don't Know I like the phrasing & intonation on the vocal - it conveys the emotion in the lyric really well. I heard some good lines in there "share a roof, share a bed but we don't share a home." Good song, I hope you keep polishing it. Check out my latest song called Llarions Blues

Is the banjo
a real one or a midi generated one...I think it fits but it could do with a little bit of variation in it's riffing....there you go advice from the world's...well certainly, MacJams worst musician, nyuk nyuk !

	I Don't Know Really like the vocals ... lyrics and phrasing are good. Got that southern sound. Banjo is real nice ... maybe bring it back a bit in the mix with a bit more variation. I would bring the acoustic up just a touch in the mix. Strings are working nice as spacial element. Real nice melody. This is progressing real well. I like it! 	Heading in the right direction :-) Hi J. Like the way this one builds. Woody's vocal work is strong. The banjo takes the song in a particular direction and I think it can work but I agree with others about a little more variation (and precise timing). Definitely moving in the right direction. Crying vocals
Love the banjo, the crying country vocals. Really well sung. Nice straight ahead simple classic tune. Not sure why the vocals fade before the rest of the band, I think I'd prefer the band to start fading first or a group fade (maybe it just my ears). There is a bit of looseness in the rhythmic precision of the banjo-guitar layering, which gives it a live feel but my ears wanted it a tad tighter. I like all the waiting bottles in the corner in the photo.
