You always sound great. But you are particularly tearing it up on this one! Your phrasing and tone are awesome. I love the palm muted stuff! The recording quality is quite good as well.

Fantastic...
Hi Fran. Another absolute pro quality Tuesday night offering. You are in great form and Laird really rips out some fantastic B3. A D/L on offer as well! What more can a guy ask for? To see you guys live, of course! You never know your luck in a big city. Much enjoyed. Take care, Peter.

You're a lucky bastard Fran!
As expected, brilliant blues. A nit-picker would be sadly disappointed here - just great playing, a tasty recording and a load of fun to boot. One day I'm going to get there for a listen!

I'll start by saying ..
... this style is as way off my comfort zone as hip hop, but, like many of the MJs hip hop artists, you draw me in to your genre with excellent playing. I love that hammond and the tight rhythm section holds it all together but with a looseness to the groove that's just great. Terrific recording, brilliant band. Bravo.

to get a compliment
like this is very very special to me. To be appreciated for the hard work, by someone who is not a fan of the style is very satisfying.

thank you so much for taking the time to listen and write!

Organ on fire
I totally dig the organ solo. Great cool as ice setting, plus you captured the Hammond live edge and let it rise above the groove as a true soloist. Much appreciated. Fab playing, energy, personality. Go Laird! Made me smile all the way through.

Nice guitar playing too. Fun track. Thanks for sharing this. Pure fun!

Great spotlight.
Blues much? Yeah, I thought so. The band's not only giving you the spotlight (along with Laird's great keys), but there's great communication going on with those stops and starts. Seems like a dream come true to have such energy -- and competence -- in all corners of the stage.

a dream
is right...the people appearing with my band are a bunch of the very best players in the Boston area, as well as some with national exposure. The quality of the music has been unreal on almost every tuesday. The opportunity to play with such awesome players is such a gift. I have not been turned down by any of the artists I have asked to join us. This alone makes me feel wonderful. That they all actually show up and play there hearts out, is amazing. When all is said and done, this Tuesday residency at the Cafe will become amazing memories to sustain me. I also have recorded a LOT of the shows, with full 8 track live....no one can ever take this away. Even if it goes down in flames, I can say I did it.
