Lyrics
Anymore

Don't make this any harder
Than it has to be
Don't try to look any further
Than you can see

I'm right here for you
When the time is right
Hold you in my arms
Love you through the night

Chorus

I've never said this before
But I know that this could be right
Holding on to you right here
Until the morning light
It's like getting kissed by the sun
Never needing anyone
Else anymore, anymore

Don't make this any harder
Than it has to be
Don't let me hold anyone else
Close to me

You're right there for me
And when the time is here
I say I want you
When I whisper in your ear

Chorus
Solo
Chorus

Don't make this any harder
Than it has to be

Nice write
Love song or not, sounds good. Wondering about the country genre though. More of a pop touch to me. Whatever you want to call it. I call this a fine track. Thanks...

Country Genre
It's more like Americana. There's no drop down for that selection here in Mac Jams. They should add it.

Thanks for the listen

Ohnyeah
I Likey a lot. Great lyrics, good vocals, sung with a lot of feeling and the music with the guitar accent in just the right places. This is really good BD. It's a song with heart and I love it.

Heart
Heart and feeling's a great compliment. I have to confess, I wrote this watching the Bachelor while falling in love with Emily. That douchebag that couldn't work it out with her should be drawn and quartered.

Thanks for loving it (now I'm embarrassed, .. shucks)

Nice bit of pop songwriting! Good production and mix. It could just be my headphones, but I think you might consider brightening the mix just a bit.

Mix
Mixing is my weakness. But I gave it another listen and I agree. A little EQ on the mix to brighten the final sound everywhere but that tone I get from the old tube amp. I just put a mic in front of that badass and leave it be

Strong post!
Hi BD. Strong post! The guitars move the song along nicely and your vocal work suits the style of song well. Like the vocal harmonies and the lead break. I kind of agree with Andrew though, sounded like it needed just a tad more high EQ through my cans. Just a very minor nit though. Good song. Regards, Peter.

Conversational lyric makes it easy to relate to.
Title/hook is in the right place, and repeating it is nice word play. Melody works fine. I like it as is but a vocal bridge would make it stronger.

Bridge
I had a bridge but decided to go with that last chorus to help out the refrain: "Don't make this any harder...." Also , I'm trying to write that number one hit and want to keep it in that 3:00 to 3:30 time line. The bridge put me at 4:00 so I squashed it for another day/tune.
Thanks,
BD

Nice vocals and lyrics. I like the warmth of the mix ... you cold just brighten the overall mix a touch.. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of EFX going on in the mix. Guitars feel real natural and everything sits comfortably around your head. Good song writing and again I like your vocals.

Americana
You are absolutely right . . . MJ should have a drop-down for "Americana" under "Genre", because this is 100% it. In the coolest way. Love the "choir" effect at 2:15! Really, I like that effect every time you use it in the song. Nice ending. I find endings so challenging, and this one was natural and made sense. Good work!

Solid
Another classic, well-balance, mainstream and solid song. The movement from acoustic beginning to the more electric section is nice, good build. The lead-in into the little instrumental is really good, reminded me of the way Paul McCartney would set it up. Solid notes, there. I like you vocals better on this, although there are still moments of tuning the I wish you could straighten out a bit. But a good track.

In Agreement
I'm in agreement there should be an americana category also a roots category. this is a nice tune but the country label may leave it lonesome for listeners... this should be heard by more than country fans...
