Lyrics
Like
Like the wind to the sail
A hill to the vale
Like the moon to the tide
A lioness to her pride
The rain to the field
A warrior to his shield
Like a horse to the water
A mother to her daughter
And as with all these things
So are you to me
Like a bird on the breeze
An itch to a sneeze
Like yeast to baking bread
Two bodies together naked
An eye to the needle
A church to it’s steeple
A grain of sand to the oyster
A nun to her cloister
And as with all these things
So are you to me
When you hold me in your eyes
all that shields my heart lies open
With you I can share my truths
that so long have lain unspoken
You allow me to be me
set me free to live my dreams
Thank you for the light
that you’ve brought my way
For your love that fills my night
and my day
Like a wick to a candle
A door to it’s handle
An apple to its core
A three to a four
Like the purr to a cat
A head to a hat
The cocoon to a caterpillar
The yachtsman to his tiller
And as with all these things
So are you to me
Like a smile to the face
A woman and her grace
A kiss to a lover
A man to his brother
Like soup to the ladle
A babe to her cradle
Like the earth to a tree
The hive to the honeybee
And as with all these things
So are you to me
When you hold me in your eyes...
Like the wind to the sail
A hill to the vale
Like the moon to the tide
A lioness to her pride
The rain to the field
A warrior to his shield
Like a horse to the water
A mother to her daughter
And as with all these things
So are you to me
Like a bird on the breeze
An itch to a sneeze
Like yeast to baking bread
Two bodies together naked
An eye to the needle

staggered vocals in a manner of speaking back and forth surely works for me .
