lovegrowscold Rootsy vibe, but the machine gun lyrics give this a modern flavor. Tight playing and the vocs have a ton of attitude. Good to hear another post from you. Check out my latest song called Llarions Blues

New Orleans Thanks for asking for a critique through the Critics Circles. This has the lively feel of the street bands in New Orleans. Fully authentic and great fun. You invite the listener to jump in with both feet and dance alongside. Really nice. You asked about the production values. I think all the instruments are mic'd and recorded well. The sound of the acoustic guitar is stellar. Banjo lead is clear and clean, placed just right. Vocal grit is really nice. One of the differences in studio sound and live is studio recordings often "seem" to demand rhythmic precision, and there are times when, in my ears, the snare rushes, or the the banjo lead drags, or the shaker (?) just isn't laid down with enough accuracy over the snare, making the internal precision I'm looking for is a bit too loose. (After listening a few times, the shaker is what creates the most looseness.) But that's also a matter of which takes has the best energy, and the energy you capture is more important than precision. I like how closely everything is mic'd, the in your face right in front of you feel. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Check out my latest song called Frozen Man (by James Taylor)

Loves Grows Cold Love the train ride feel you get. All very tuneful. Strong vocal. All holds together well. I like the light and shade in the arrangement. Nifty banjo playing, solid bass. Given the pace of the delivery, posting the words would be a help. Much enjoyed! Check out my latest song called Close to Midnight w/ alackbass, rok41, paul f. page, & KyasheMusic

Cool skiffle, old-timey, St. James Infirmary, Tin-Pan Alley groove. Great gruff but tuneful singing, too. Cool tune...cool band! Welcome to MJ.
