Description

Thanks to Spitlogic for offering up these great tunes for folks like me to mangle :-) My second effort. Not sure if I've done that before, but it always amazes me that despite hours of listening and tweaking I can still post something and then hear something hugely amiss. In this instance it was an itch I needed to scratch. So thanks in advance for indulging my do-over.

	more Man I hope. Theres a lot of freedom in creating SL backing tracks. I really enjoy that process. Plus Mitchell does such a great job adding the scratching, and various effects. Always top shelf. when it's mixed/played right, rhodes works so well with a funky bass line, and it's perfect here. also think the synth stabs are cool - coincidentally i've been going back and listening to a lot of quincy jones' produced 80's R&B lately and one thing i rediscovered is his use of synth stabs. cool that you used them here. also dig the little bits of muted rhythm guitar.

	Complacent Great groove. Smooth chord backing, punched up by that funky rhythm section. Those guitar licks. Loops in the right key? Wow. Helluvan arrangement, and the Rhodes sounds great over that growly bass. Good fun. Now I'm thinking I will have to give this a try. You've inspired me. 	Nice swing! Great music and groove KTB. Spit's rap is always right on the money lyrically, rhythmically and tonally. Regarding that redo itch, that happens to me every time as well.
