Description
on may 25th I was COMPLETELY spun on prednisone -- prescribed by my doctor for my tennis elbow -- and went over to my drummer friend's house for a quick improvised jam session. my racing thoughts and pressured speech made it impossible to play sing or even communicate on a rational level, and I couldn't set up my keyboards or guitar or anything! BUT finally I did get alesis micron on a wobbly stand, and my drummer buddy put his sticks away and used little chopsticks to play a black sabbath type jam to which I improvised a scary keyboard part and odd lyrics -- all captured on flip video :-) and although the whole session was really a mess, listening back to the song a couple months later I thought wow! I need to redo the song. so the embarrasing tweak session well at least maybe something positive could come out of it?
I re-recorded this using garageband because logic express HURTS still with the elbow tendon problem -- transcribed insane lyrics and did them like the original. used alesis micron again, along with some roland jp-8000 and realistic moog, plus a little fake fender guitar and drums on demand. my drummer buddy heard the final result and preferred the version he drummed on but I foolishly had flip camera on my amp and the vibrations and such made for some mad crackling etc. and wrecked the song. to his credit his drums on the original are FAR AND AWAY SUPERIOR to this robot drum. someday maybe we can do this again with him on drums. he is a great drummer and an inspiration to me. and very patient with his spun out friend! lol
anyway while spinning I was watching the tornado vids on YouTube and those sort of inspired these lyrics in a vague twisted way. it's a twistah! it's a twistah!!
enjoy. it's good to be slowly fading back into real reality -- I think. what a long strange summer it's been. where was I?

Lyrics
misery 5-25-11
the cornrows lined up in the squares the people stood right over there
they witnessed all entrancing scene they blend in drinking gasoline
okay the further the people lived in misery
their captive honor on their way doing what they would today
chorus
ah really really oooo ooo oooo oo oo oo
misery ry ry ry ry ry ry ry ah oh
tempted there balls in tearin callin in air where you wondered where
tempted for a precedent their living forced with pepsodent
feelin where it really where parkin to eden parkin
rare rare rare ducka ducka ducka ducka duh duh
chorus
up it's bumpin jonesin failures failures build it buildin map the story yes
knockin down the buildings and thry're over there tell they're there
rip cat -- it's a twistah! it's a twistah!
chorus
come on let's go right in the fastrip and hide inside the walk in now
twister comes and blows us down knocks the windows up the ground
blows the cars into the trees goes right in the faster breeze
people piled up in heaps and certain oh!
chorus - middle 8
knock the building upside down and concrete rollin all around
and nah - na na na na na na na na na na na na nah!
da da da da da da da da da da da da da dah! ree dee dee dee
da da da da da da da da da da da da da dah!
dunkin rights pumpkin til pump kick up the stairs
pumpkin roe force coast rockin for
dumpin rot here -- there goes your underwear
fall out -- takin it cold
chorus
(and realize you're rollin ahhh
tip tip talkin rock pit park it's cold)

Wow, this is far out, psychedelic greatness! I like the song. Chorus and vocals really outstanding, thanks for the download. Now I'm off to find my underwear.
