Lyrics
And then you see what’s been apparent all the time
And if you knew you might have known just where to draw the line
But nothing takes it back and nothing makes it better
An accident of life

The other side of nice
That’s where you’re going to find me
The other side of nice
Where I’m going to be

But nothing takes you back and nothing makes it better
An accident of life

The other side of nice

And so you find yourself just where you want to be
The scene is right for what is left
For what is left is only me
The line is broken, shattered in the sand
An accident of life

The other side of nice

Very happy to have
something of yours' to listen to again. Lovely mood inducing piece with great lyrics. Liking all the Floyd references.
Waiting for the next one now 'I Banged You Up'.
Great to be seeing you here.
Cheers

Floydesque
Not exactly an ingenious observation there on my part. This is really well done though. Vocals fit in perfectly and sound very good with that reverse reverb. Great use of the tremolo guitar and nice ominous piano chordage. Lyrics are well written. Nothing not to like.

lovely intro....and wow....i'm loving this already. charles this excellent. okay....suggestion; the chorus comes in quite quickly and it doesn't quite deliver because you throw away the line 'that's where you're going to find me'. this line underpins the song and i'd have made more of it, (i was singing a harmony line over the top of 'that's where you're going to find me'). okay moving on....really fantastic song charles. i love the wah wah on whatever it is....and those 'voices' in the background. the production is stellar.....everything so rich and clear....the subtle guitar work....and your gentle vulnerable vocal delivery again revealing elements of you we don't get to see in a pub in southwark. the applause stuff at the end is really clever and atmospheric.....but then you faded out really abruptly....drag it out man - it's a beaut.
fantastic charles....seriously.
also reminded me a little of john 'woofer'. go check him out if you haven't already.

This has a wonderful sort of world weary feel to it and in a slight way the vocal reminds mem of Peter Gabriel. really enjoyed the whole arrangement and feel of this one. Excellent. Cheers Mark

nice
yay! we badgered you into putting a song up !!
Very, sad, poignant and moving and well played and sung.
On a production note it felt that the guitars were sometimes getting in the way of the notes on the piano and it felt like they needed a bit of 'reigning' in....though there were several moments where they worked brilliantly.
Maybe a cymbal crash here and there to herald the changes in sections.
Apart from that really good and thoroughly enjoyed.
I listened to it yesterday and went for a walk and it stayed swirling around my head.
cheers
