Description
Yanno, I just came in from walking my dog Farina and I saw the most mysterious creature. It first caught my attention as it was making its way down a small hill to my left and then it got across the street and stood in front the steps leading down to the little nature preserve where I live. Farina and I stood and watched it for several minutes and this creature did the same before it turned and disappeared into the woods. Folks, I can't describe it but it was definitely nothing I've ever seen before--just WEIRD!! While I don't own a cellphone, fortunately, there was one found hanging from a nearby bush and I snapped this photo with it because I knew nobody would believe it. To paraphrase one of the contestants on "The Judge Judy Show" this evening, "I seen it, literally, with my very own eyes." In this AUTHENTIC photograph, you can make out the creature holding its prey in its mouth--a feature I did not notice until after viewing the photograph.
Anyway, I made up this quickie and dedicate it to this thing I saw tonight for making tonight's walk with Farina one I'll never forget!

PS: We also have a wild turkey and its brood apparently living in the back alleyways here and there have been more fireflies than I can EVER remember seeing before in the summer. Strange things are happening folks!
